Unusual bird on our deck

pHey everyone! Just found this site so I'm new to the WhatBird world.
Yesterday, (July 17, 2011) I noticed this bird on our deck.nbsp; It seemed
rather docile and was not skittish at all as it allowed me to get very
near to it. I know absolutely nothing about birds but I attempted to
identify it with Golden's "Birds of North America" to no avail./ppIt
first seemed that it might be a juvenile of some kind, but then I
leaned more to the thought that this might be nothing more than an old
pigeon or some such similar bird. nbsp;/ppIt just doesn't look like anything I'm familiar with. Any help in identifying this bird would be greatly appreciated!/p(Location: Central Indiana) Click here to go to the original site
